THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS AND CANBERRA'S SURROUNDS
Rolling hills, winding lanes, country pubs and heritage towns all give this region its undeniable charm. Its inland towns were some of the first to be settled by pioneers, and you can almost sense the bygone era of bushrangers and adventure. Some of the finest architecture can be found in historic homesteads, main street buildings and streetscapes.

> There's quality vino to be found in some of the region's local wineries and many treasures to uncover in the dusty antique stores. Or, you can simply enjoy a Devonshire tea in a cosy café or drink in the English-style beauty of the Southern Highlands. Best of all, the region isn't far from the hustle and bustle of Canberra, the nation's capital and political hub.
